Dots is one of the main characters in RAT! He is the leader of the Alphatopia Junior Investigation team, and is also the one who tasks the players with Cases and Daily Missions.
He is a ghostly entity with an obscured face, grey jacket and black beanie. He is only shown to have one eye, the other supposedly lost in an icicle related incident.
Dots can be seen inside a cardboard box behind one of the houses in the game's lobby. Upon interacting with him, either through directly talking to him, or by clicking or tapping the "Missions" icon in the HUD, he will say a random line from a predetermined pool.
Upon first opening the Missions screen, he can say one of the lines below
"Have you ever had Ana's eclairs? Best pastries I've ever had."
"Apparently, purple is important."
"25. 25 is the limit before they stop."
"Did she really pack me the ham and cheese ones and not the pizza ones?"
"My name is Dots, seems like it'd mean more than that, but it doesn't."
"Not much for conversation, huh?"
"My eye? I shot it out. Just kidding, I only hit an icicle."
"Good Afternoon, or Morning, or Night, depends on your settings."
"If you listen closely, you can hear the clicking."
"New things for you to do"
"My Mom wants me home for dinner."
"Found any ducks?"
"Yeah, I'm no big deal. Just the cool, quiet type who fights crime in the night."
"You're gonna love this."
"Have you heard of WRONGNUMBR? I have Theories I've been wanting to share..."
"Mom said i had to wear this stuff so i wouldn't catch a cold."
"You're like the cool sidekick who gets their own spinoff!"
That Dummy guy creeps me out...
After closing or opening the Missions folder he will say one of these lines below
"And then, we can have the dessert."
"This some real Big-league Stuff! Handle it carefully!"
"All work, No play."
"Busy, busy."
"You think i get paid to stand and watch you fidget?"
"Busy work, that's all there is"
"Want some Quick Cash? I sure do."
"Good Luck with that."
"My allowence, your pay."
"Check this out check this out! I mean- It's Nothing i haven't seen."
"I don't get paid for this."
"Shade isn't looking, right?"
"Do you also have to mow the lawn?"
Trivia
- Upon opening cases in VR, Dots says the following: "Hey! This is a serious operation! If you want to access the cases take off that headset!".
